Designing a Fashion Film That Lives in One Take
19 March 2026 · 5 min read

A one-take film is a choreography problem before it's a camera problem. We planned Silhouette No.4 as a floor plan: where the model is on each beat of the track, where the virtual camera is, and which wall gets to exist in that moment.
The film isn't actually one continuous generation. There are four stitches, all hidden in whip-pans through darkness, where the frame goes to near-black for six frames. Planning the stitch points in advance let us generate in achievable chunks without ever cheating the geography.
The mistake we made was prompting for the still frame rather than the move. Our first pass looked beautiful paused and muddy in motion, because the falloff between zones was too even. We regenerated for contrast between pools of light, so the movement itself became the rhythm.
Sound closed it. A single continuous room tone across all four stitches convinces the ear that the space never changed, and the ear is what sells continuity — not the cut.
